"Casas" for Haiti

The Second and Third grad classes made "Casas" out of Shrinky Dinks to raise money for Haitian earthquake victims. The students used this opportunity to practice colors in Spanish. The proceeds will be used to build a real "casa" for a homeless family when Señora Girman goes to Haiti in January!

The Mexican Hat Dance

All of the Spanish classes at Stella Maris Academy learned the Mexican Hat Dance in celebration of Mexican Independence Day!

Carmen and Sofia dressed up in their special dresses from Mexico and showed us how to dance as well!
